Each player receives four hole cards and must use exactly two of them. Omaha Hi-Lo splits the pot between the highest and lowest hands — giving you more ways to win in a single hand.

Poker is far more than an ordinary card game. It is a game of skill, strategy, psychology and emotional discipline – all at one table. At sofabet88, we understand this and have built a poker room that respects the integrity of the game: no bots, no collusion tolerated, and a security system that continuously monitors every table to ensure a fair experience for all Malaysian players.
What sets sofabet88 apart from other poker platforms is its player community. The majority of players at sofabet88 are Malaysians – people who understand the local context, who enjoy chatting in Bahasa Melayu in the table chat, and who come back every day because they genuinely enjoy the game with people they know. This is not just another open global platform – this is Malaysia's community poker home.
Texas Hold'em is the most popular game at sofabet88, just as it is worldwide. What's particularly interesting is that knowledge of Texas Hold'em has grown rapidly in Malaysia over recent years. Many younger players who learned poker through YouTube, training apps, and Discord communities are now bringing those skills to the sofabet88 tables — creating a competitive and ever-evolving poker ecosystem.
For new players, sofabet88 offers micro-stakes tables with blinds as low as RM0.50/RM1, as well as starter tables at RM1/RM2. This lets newcomers learn and build experience without the fear of losing big. Once you're comfortable with the dynamics of the game, you can move up to higher-stakes tables at your own pace and confidence level.
The tournament system at sofabet88 is carefully designed to give players of all levels a genuine opportunity. The weekly Freeroll is a free entry point for all registered members – no risk, but with real cash prizes. From the Freeroll, players can build a bankroll to enter Sit & Go games, then daily MTTs, and ultimately the High Roller Sunday with a guaranteed RM20,000 prize pool. This is the growth pathway that sofabet88 has intentionally built.
One feature that sofabet88 players absolutely love is the Bad Beat Jackpot — a special prize paid out when a very strong hand, typically four of a kind or better, loses to an even stronger one. The Bad Beat Jackpot at sofabet88 has now reached RM38,800 and continues to grow until someone wins it. This adds an extra layer of excitement to every hand, because even the most painful beat can turn into a massive payout.
Making a deposit to play poker at sofabet88 is straightforward — just use the local Malaysian payment methods you already rely on every day. Funds are credited within seconds, and you can take your seat at your preferred table almost instantly.
* All tables are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Rake is 5% capped at RM5 per pot.

Poker is a game anyone can learn, but it takes time to master. Here are the core principles that experienced players at sofabet88 rely on.
Position is one of the most critical concepts in poker. Playing from a late position (dealer, cutoff) gives you the advantage of seeing how other players act before you have to make your decision. sofabet88 players who master positional play consistently gain a significant edge at the table.
One of the most common mistakes new players make is playing too many hands. In Texas Hold'em, the bulk of long-term profit comes from playing premium hands aggressively and folding weak hands with discipline.
Betting too small gives your opponents good odds to call with weak hands. Betting too large causes them to fold even when you want them to stay in. Learn effective bet sizing for each situation at the table.
Poker experts recommend keeping no more than 5% of your bankroll on any single table at one time. If your bankroll is RM400, playing at a RM1/RM2 blind table is the right call. Move up to higher stakes only when your bankroll supports it – not when you feel "lucky".
Online poker has betting patterns you can read. Watch how quickly opponents act, the sizes they bet in different situations, and how often they fold to continuation bets. Player notes are an incredibly useful tool at sofabet88.
Enter your name, email, and phone number. Takes less than 2 minutes with no registration fee. You'll be instantly eligible for the Weekly Freeroll.
Use Touch 'n Go, GrabPay, DuitNow, or Maybank2u. Minimum deposit RM20. Credits appear within seconds.
Go to the Poker section, select Texas Hold'em or Omaha, then choose your preferred table stake or register for a tournament.
Take your seat, receive your cards and start playing. Use stats and hand history to keep improving your game.
Sofabet88 rewards loyal poker players with a range of reward programs designed specifically for the Malaysian poker community. From welcome bonuses to VIP programs that return a portion of the rake you pay – there's something for everyone.
Rakeback is one of the most valued features among regular players at sofabet88. Every time you contribute to a pot and rake is collected, a portion of it is returned to you according to your VIP membership tier. Players who play consistently will find that this rakeback adds up to a significant amount by the end of the month.
100% match up to RM300 for new members making their first deposit into a sofabet88 poker account.
Get back up to 30% of the rake you pay each week, based on your VIP level.
A cumulative jackpot of RM38,800 is paid out when a four of a kind or better loses. Every player at the table wins!
Earn VIP points for every hand you play. Redeem them for deposit bonuses, tournament tickets, or cash.
There is one fundamental difference between poker and other casino games like slots or roulette. In slots, the machine determines the outcome – your skill is irrelevant. In poker, your skill directly determines your long-term results. Better players will consistently come out ahead over time, even with short-term variance along the way.
This is precisely why the sofabet88 poker community is made up of people who are genuinely serious about the game. Some watch training videos, read strategy books, use hand analysis software, and discuss tactics in local Telegram groups. This is far from a casual hobby — many sofabet88 players treat poker as a serious source of supplementary income.
For players just starting out, the best advice is to begin at the sofabet88 micro-stakes tables and focus on learning rather than winning. The low blind levels mean you can play hundreds of hands without losing significant money, all while building your understanding of core concepts such as pot odds, position, and reading your opponents' betting patterns.
Poker is a game of skill, but real money is still on the line. Sofabet88 encourages all players to set session limits, daily loss limits, and to never play beyond their financial means.

"I've played on several online poker platforms since 2019, but sofabet88 is hands down the best for Malaysian players. The community feels closer-knit — you can chat in Bahasa Melayu, there's an active Telegram group, and the micro-stakes tables let me learn without taking on big risks. The weekly rakeback also gives my bankroll a real boost."
"sofabet88's Bad Beat Jackpot just paid me RM4,200 last month. I had four of a kind but lost to a straight flush — normally that would be gutting. But the jackpot was credited to my account within an hour. I deposited via Touch 'n Go and withdrew via DuitNow — the whole process was seamless."
"sofabet88's daily MTT is really something. RM50 buy-in, RM5,000 guaranteed prize pool, usually 80–100 players in the field. The competition level is just right — not too easy, not brutally tough. Recently finished fourth and took home RM480. For serious players, this is a platform worth trying."
Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Sit & Go and GTD tournaments with RM20,000 guaranteed await. Weekly Freeroll is free for all new members. Deposit from RM20 via Touch 'n Go or DuitNow.
